I Got a New Perspective

Have you had a life changing experience?  I recently had such an experience.
I know I'm young, but it really did change the way I view life.  I had the pleasure of hanging out with the most amazing, brave, kind, loving group of people ever!  I was invited to tag along with Kids for Courage to Knotts Berry Farm.  Kids for Courage is an organization that helps make the lives of terminally ill kids a little better.  What's even more inspiring about the Kids for Courage Organization is that they do it because they love doing it!  They don't take a pay check.  They have a full-time job doing something else.  And when they are together with the kids, it's all about the kids and showing them a great time!  I met some awesome kids who despite their troubles still had smiles on their faces.  We danced, we sang, cheered, rode roller coasters and took lots of pictures.  I am proud to call all of them my friends.  I hope they feel the same.

As a pre-teen, sometimes I get a little whiny about little things.  My hormones are all over the place!  I learned a valuable lesson at Knotts Berry Farm with my new friends - don't forget everything that you have to be thankful for and my problems don't even compare to others who may struggle on a daily basis to do the little things!

On the way home, we were exhausted, but we were also so happy!  Not happy because we had been to Knotts Berry Farm, but happy because of the people we got to spend our day with!  I feel lucky to have met and hung out with Kids for Courage!  I hope that you know or get to know some amazingly awesome people like the ones at Kids for Courage!  It will change your life.
